Eyecandy is an annual student-run film journal produced at the Film & Digital Media department at University of California, Santa Cruz. Founded in the fall of 1999, students have sought to analyze and critique this multifaceted medium. We examine film and digital media in relation to contexts such as art form, social and cultural theory, and politics.

Above all, Eyecandy is a forum for writers from all kinds of backgrounds to discuss and raise issues about media as a popular phenomenon and an area of critical study. Our template for academic discourse is both a web journal and the annual print issue with an accompanying DVD of student films/works.
